First Solos
Years ago, flight instructors rode behind their students. Instructors would tug on the student's shirttail to get the student's attention. According to tradition, cutting off the shirttail symbolizes the instructor's confidence that the student is capable of flying solo. We celebrate our most recent students’ solo successes here.
Checkrides
During the checkride, a pilot demonstrates to an FAA-appointed examiner that he or she is qualified for the certificate or rating being sought. We celebrate our most recent students’ checkride successes here. Click on each photo to see what checkride each pilot completed.
