Elon Aviation Cadet Program

Consider applying to the Elon Aviation Cadet Program. This exclusive program is designed for career-track pilots to encourage professional development and enhance pilot proficiency and effectiveness. Admission to the Cadet Program is rolling, meaning you may apply to the program at any time throughout the year.

As an Elon Aviation Cadet, you will receive these benefits:

  • Guaranteed job interview upon completion of CFI training

  • Exclusive Cadet training sessions taught by Elon Aviation staff

  • Fifty hours of free simulator time (instructor not included)

To be eligible for the Elon Aviation Cadet Program, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • You must hold at least a private pilot certificate. You may have earned your private pilot certificate at another flight school, but you must receive all subsequent certificates and ratings from Elon Aviation.  

  • You must not have failed more than one practical test.

  • You must not have failed more than one knowledge test.

  • You must have no accidents, incidents, or violations.

  • You must participate in the FAA Wings program and have completed at least one phase within the previous 12 months.

  • You must hold at least a 2nd class medical.

If you are eligible for the Elon Aviation Cadet Program, you will need to complete the online application below, which must include two letters of recommendation. Once you submit the below form, you will receive email instructions on where to submit your letters. One letter of recommendation must come from a member of the aviation community.

If selected, applicants will be invited for interviews. Successful candidates will receive email notification of their acceptance. Once you have applied and/or been interviewed, please do not follow up. You will be contacted if you are accepted into the Elon Aviation Cadet Program.
